While growth in luxury retail has slowed in the US and Europe in brick-and-mortar stores, global digital sales of luxury goods are up 9% for 2016 and have grown a massive 77% since 2011 (Euromonitor). This means there’s a huge opportunity for high-end brands to provide customers with a highly personalised online experience.

Montblanc, a heritage brand that creates watches, leather goods, fragrances, and more, required a perfectly tailored user experience to reduce site abandonment and increase conversions.

Yieldify’s Solution

Yieldify leveraged the exclusive services and add-ons offered by Montblanc to improve the customer journey and reduce abandonment. One such tactic involved highlighting USPs such as free gift wrapping, engraving and delivery to prevent cart abandonment.

As well as this, Yieldify supported seasonal promotions to ensure the experience was ‘just right’ during crucial trading periods. A spend threshold on Father’s Day offered a gift with purchase to those spending over £200, inspiring urgency and winning conversions.

Finally, a campaign targeting corporate customers presented a downloadable catalogue and information on support via phone.

Result

The free delivery, engraving and gift wrapping overlays created a +39.9% uplift in conversion rates in targeted customers for Montblanc, while the free embossing overlay saw a +41.4% uplift in the customers who saw the campaign.

The free gift with purchase had a +118% uplift in conversions for targeted customers, and the campaign serving corporate gift buyers returned a +30% increase in conversions.
